From the Founders
Storia is built by Riq and Rin, partners in life and now in this. Their own six to eight month wedding planning sprint nearly broke their spreadsheets and their patience. They built Storia so it would not happen to other couples.
The Founder: Enrique "Riq" Lacambra III
CEO and Founder. Product, Engineering, and Operations.
Riq leads product and engineering. He has been building software for over a decade, mostly the kind of unglamorous infrastructure that other people's products quietly run on.
Before Storia, he taught computer science at Ateneo de Zamboanga and pursued post graduate studies at the Asian Institute of Management in the Philippines. He learned that the hardest part of any system is not the code. It is explaining it to someone who is trying to make a decision under stress.
The Co-Founder: Cath Mariel "Rin" Huerto
Co-Founder. Marketing and Partnerships.
Rin leads marketing and partnerships. She is also the bride in the story. The six to eight month sprint was hers too, which is why Storia treats planning stress as a real problem and not a feature to be branded around.
Rin brings over seven years of marketing and partnerships across some of the country's largest brands, including Sales and Marketing at GMA Network, cinema advertising at SM Cinemas, and channel sales at the Bank of the Philippine Islands. She built her career on treating every client relationship as a long partnership, and brings that same instinct to how Storia shows up to couples, coordinators, and vendors.

Building Storia, after their own wedding sprint
Their planning began the way most Filipino weddings do. Excited messages on family group chats. A growing folder of screenshots. A list of vendors three times longer than the budget could carry. Then a calendar that said the wedding was in six months.
The planning turned out to be harder than the wedding could ever be. Spreadsheets stopped tracking what was paid versus contracted. The timeline lived in three different places. The guest list moved between drafts. The lola asked when the program was final and there was no real answer.
Storia is the system they wished they had during that sprint. A single place that holds the budget, timeline, guests, and the AI that says "focus on this next." Built so the human experts who make weddings special, coordinators, photographers, ninongs and ninangs, do not get replaced. They get supported.
Today, Storia leads with that same belief. The goal is not a wedding without people. It is a wedding where people are present, because the planning stopped getting in the way.
